PECAN PIE

   The little girls and Hunter were helping me put the ingredients into the bowl to make the pecan pie for Thanksgiving.  Each of them had a number to indicate their turn in adding the ingredients.  Briley added the sugar.  When it was time to add the pecans, Briley said, "I don't like pecans but I like pecan pie because you can't taste the pecans."  I about fell over .  She consistently comes out with profound statements such as that.

I DON'T CARE FOR HAM

   I started my Thanksgiving cooking this year with the ham.  It took 7 hours in the oven to bake it.  While it was in the oven, Mother asked me what else I was going to offer for the Thanksgiving meal, because she "don't care for ham".  Do you know what her favorite meal is?  Ham hocks!  She loves ham hocks cooked for hours with onions.......but she don't care for ham!  hahahaha

SOMETHING IN THERE

   Mother was getting ready for bed and asked me to follow her to the bathroom to empty her bag.  O.k.   So, I sit down on the side of the tub after she sat on the toilet and she said, "There may not be anything in it but there is something in there."  I just looked at her.  She looked at me.  Then we both started laughing.
